Hyperspace

”HyperSpace uses ambisonics as the way to create the placement of sound in space. Hyperspace supports HOA (Higher order ambisonics) up to 6th order (49 channels). If you are not familiar with what ambisonics is, you can read about it here:https://blog.soundparticles.com/what-is-ambisonics.

Hyperspace also supports VBAP as an alternative output format along with Binaural rendering of 2D or 3D headphone output.

HyperSpace is a highly sophisticated piece of software for controlling sound placement and movement in space. It is designed to work both as a powerful spatial composition tool as well as an intuitive and versatile live performance controller.Compared to other software such as SPATrevolution  and other immersive orientated software, Hyperspace offer a more friendly user interface and a lot more interaction features. Hyperspace can be used as an interface to control external client software using the ADM-OSC protocol.

Hyperspace is not a plugin. It’s indeed a separate software that works together with your DAW of choice. It can work without a DAW if you prefer to use live sources such as synths, drum machines or microphones. Or you can use any combination of choice”

HyperSpace Ambisonics is built with Max/MSP the multimedia programming environment from Cycling74 (www.cycling74.com) and the actual ambisonic encoding/decoding along with some interface objects are part of the ICST objects for Max/MSP. It also uses some plugins from IEM free for download.
